Are you a fool?
“Helping People Fulfill God’s Plan For Their Lives Through Business”
Are you a fool?
But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash. Matthew 7:26-27
Are you hearing HIS words? Are you putting the Word of God into practice?
Are you a fool?
A fool builds his house on the sand. The fool will not read the instruction book. The fool will not implement what he hears and reads from the instruction book (Word of God).
The sand is the wide gate that leads to destruction. The fool will not put into practice what he has heard as truth in the Word of God. The foolish build on the sand that washes away. The temporary pleasures of this life wash away but the person who does the will of God lives forever.
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.” Matthew 7:13-14
Putting into practice the Word of God is very difficult. How will you know if you are a disciple? You will know you are a disciple when you love and forgive others. The faith of a disciple grows through the challenges of life’s storms. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
A fool holds a grudge. A fool does not forgive. A fool blames others. A fool will not take responsibility. A fool whines and complains. A fool wants to live in the desert rather than in the Promised Land. A fool does not want to change. A fool criticizes others. A fool hides from his sin. A fool loves this world. A fool has many gods and idols. A fool thinks about the temporary and not the eternal. A fool has no need to read God’s Word. A fool will spend little or no time in a day in the worship of God. A fool worries. A fool believes material things will bring happiness. A fool believes in his heart that he does not need God by the way he speaks and acts each day. A fool desires to please man more than God. A fool believes money will buy happiness. A fool believes other people are blocking his success and happiness. A fool believes he is right and needs no correction. A fool believes his own perception of life. A fool believes there is no absolute truth. A fool believes he is not accountable for the way he lives his life. The fool believes there is no judgment. The fool believes he is a good person. The fool does not learn from the storms of life. The foolish are not open to instruction. The foolish have no need for seeking counsel. The foolish do not need correction and guidance.
The wise man hears the Word of God and puts it into practice. You have to hear first before you implement. God wants to guide you. He has not changed. You have to seek HIM to find HIM. Move toward HIM with a broken, humble repentant spirit and enjoy HIS presence today.
