Are you a replenisher?
Are you a replenisher?
24I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. John 12:24
Jesus speaks to us in HIS WORD that through HIS death it will produce many seeds. Production starts when a kernel of wheat falls and dies. Until the seed falls and dies it remains only a single seed. But when it dies then it is able to produce multiple seeds. Wow!
Most people think that to fall and die to self would make you miserable and lose control. Actually it is the opposite. It is the refusal to acknowledge the fall and die to self which makes you miserable. Abundant living actually begins when you give control to the creator of life. Abundant living starts when you die to self. Eternal life happens when you acknowledge your sinful selfishness, pride, arrogance and the need for a savior. Joy and peace come when you seek first the Kingdom of God and acknowledge your dependence on God as your ALL.
God said in the beginning to be fruitful, multiply and replenish the earth. How do you accomplish HIS desire?
It takes two things to be fruitful, multiply and be a replenisher. First, you must fall and be broken of your pride. Your sin nature has to be broken. Until you Seek God’s forgiveness through true repentance and recognize your failure of self reliance (fall), you will remain only a single seed.
Second, you must die to self. Dying to self allows God to change you. It is like the sculptor with a hammer and chisel. God has a chisel and HE wants to use HIS hammer and chisel to chip away to build your character. HE can’t use HIS hammer and chisel if you are holding the hammer and chisel. You have to let go and die to self and allow HIM to change you.
Replenish means to fill with inspiration or power. It means to nourish. When you have fallen and are dead to selfish desire, the power of the Spirit of God will nourish and replenish you and others around you. You will bear fruit which will multiply and replenish in the lives of others around you.
It is a good thing to fall and die to self so that you may be fruitful, multiply and replenish. Look forward to the fall and the death to self so you can see God’s power work in you today.
