Are you going to be called friend?

“Helping People Fulfill God’s Plan For Their Lives Through Business”

Are you going to be called wicked or friend?
In the book of Matthew, Jesus gives us a valuable parable on the advantages and disadvantages of forgiveness. The parable centers around a master and a servant – Jesus Christ is the master and you are the servant. The master wants to settle accounts with the servant (you). So the master wants you, the servant, to immediately pay HIM the billions in debt you owe to HIM. In other words, the master is calling your loan. The debt is to be paid in full right now. You plead and beg your master (King) to have mercy on you. The master loves you and forgives your debt. The master releases you of your obligation. Your debt is totally forgiven and wiped clean. You have been set free.
How would you feel about the Master (King)? What would be your attitude toward the Master (King)? What would be your attitude toward other servants? This is where we fail.
The Master (King) calls us wicked because we do not show the same kind of love and forgiveness toward others that HE showed us. We are made in God’s image of Love.
“Then the master called the servant (you) in. ‘You wicked servant,’ he said, ‘I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’ In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.
“This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.” Matthew 18:32-35
Unforgiveness destroys lives. The Master (King Jesus Christ) wants you to forgive others as HE has forgiven you.
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. John 15:12-15
The Lord, King and Master wants to call you HIS friend when you love and forgive others. HE calls you wicked when you do not love and forgive as HE commanded you. Share HIS love and forgiveness!
God sees you as spotless and clean totally washed by the blood of Jesus Christ.
