Are you taking a multi-vitamin for your physical strength?

Where are you getting your spiritual strength?

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18 NIV

For the story and message of the cross is sheer absurdity and folly to those who are perishing and on their way to perdition, but to us who are being saved it is the [manifestation of] the power of God.

1 Corinthians 2:14
The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The preaching of salvation for lost sinners by the sufferings and death of the Son of God, if explained and faithfully applied, appears foolishness to those on the way to destruction (death and hell). The sensual, the covetous, the proud, the spiritually arrogant and the ambitious alike see that the gospel opposes their favorite pursuits. Sin and rebellion toward God are their pursuit.

The message of the Gospel of Christ is either foolishness or it is the power of God working in your life. Where are you getting your strength each day? Are you being renewed and filled by the foolishness of this world or is the Word of God transforming your life?

2 Timothy 1:7
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

Romans 1:16
I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

Everything in the heavens and on earth is yours, O Lord, and this is your kingdom. We adore you as the one who is over all things. Wealth and honor come from you alone, for you rule over everything. Power and might are in your hand, and at your discretion people are made great and given strength.1 Chronicles 29:11-12

I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me. Philippians 4:13

Psalm 28:7
The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.

Walk in the power and strength of the risen Christ today.
