Building the Church
Building the Church
Be very careful, then, how you live-not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Ephesians 5: 15-17
God’s economy is not dependent on the Stock Market. Building the Church is not dependent on man’s economy. The stock market can be up or down. The Church is not dependent on the market. Actually, the Church grows better under persecution and threat. In times of ease and comfort the church tends to become religious and build buildings. The Church grows best through testing and persecution.
You are the Church. God has put HIS temple in you through the dwelling of HIS SPIRIT. The Church is the body of believers. You are in Marketplace Ministry of being a housewife, husband, father, mother, secretary, administrator, accountant, executive, salesman, teacher, or other professional. The Church is not a building.
The Cultural Commission is to take control of and subdue all creation. We are called to take dominion and rule over the creation. As Marketplace Ministers, times of perceived lack and need are great times to take control and dominion. Move into the Promised Land and stop complaining and whining. Opportunity is found in the middle of problems. Use the current economic circumstances to gain and capture territory for the Kingdom of God.
Joseph used every perceived problem as an opportunity. David used the perceived threat of Goliath as an opportunity. Use whatever threat may be coming your way as an opportunity to bring Glory to God. Use driving in your car, use your conversations at break, use your conversations at lunch all as an opportunity to take over the territory and conquer fear, complaining and whining. Rejoice in the Lord and show your thankfulness and gratitude in all circumstance.
Use every opportunity to build the Church. The only Church that many will ever see is you.
