Death is not natural

Life is natural and normal. The enemy wants you to believe that death is normal and natural.

Jesus Christ overcame death. His resurrection is your hope HE defeated death and sin. Life is in Christ.

You were created to live. Death is not natural. Death happened because of the fall of man; through Adam entered sin and death. You were created to be at home with God. Your eternal home is with God, not death. Death is the separation from the physical body but not the Spirit of God (heavenly body). Life is in the Spirit of God (Christ Jesus).

II Corinthians 5:8 “We are of good courage, I say, and prefer to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.”

According to Scripture, death is not normal or natural even though it is a persistent fact of human history. Why? Man was created by God to be in unity with body, soul, and spirit, and in that state live forever with God in fellowship with Him. This is the natural, normal state that God planned for man. This is why we have the hope and promise of the resurrection. Death is not the natural state of man. Death entered through Adam with the fall of man in the Garden of Eden.

1Now we know that if the earthly tent (body) we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven (new heavenly body), not built by human hands. 2Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, 3because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked (with sin). 4For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. 5Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

6Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. 7We live by faith, not by sight. 8We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 9So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. 10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. 2 Corinthians 5:1-10

For the believer, this body and world are not your home. You are a resurrected Spirit Being NOW in Christ Jesus waiting for your un-resurrected body.
