From Sinner To Righteous
From Sinner To Righteous
For since [it was] through a man that death [came into the world, it is] also through a Man that the resurrection of the dead [has come]. 1 Corinthians 15:21
You have been made righteous in Christ Jesus through HIS death and resurrection. Your sins are no longer counted against you. God will remember them no more. Your sins are forgiven and forgotten as far as the east is from the west. Your sins and unrighteous acts of lying, anger, hatred, unforgiveness, neglect, drunkenness, rebellion, disbelief, hard heart, disobedience, deceitfulness, manipulation, sexual sins, immorality, abortion, selfishness, lust, craving, boasting, and idol worship of this world have been washed clean by the blood of the sacrificial LAMB Jesus Christ.
God has demonstrated HIS love for all mankind through giving HIS one and only Son to die for ALL sin once and for ALL. There is no sin which Jesus did not die for on the cross. There is no sin which He did not forgive.
Before you were born again and redeemed, you were born into sin. It is your ancestor’s (Adam and Eve) sin which caused you to be born into sin. Before you were saved, did a single righteous act make you righteous? If you performed many righteous acts did it make you righteous? No, you were still a sinner.
Before being born again, as a sinner there are no amount of righteous acts which can make you righteous.
Now as a born again, redeemed follower of Jesus Christ, it is also true because of what Christ Jesus did for all mankind there is no sin or amount of sin which will cause you to become a sinner again. You have been made righteous by the Lamb of God Jesus Christ. If Jesus’ death was not for all sin, HIS death and resurrection would not be complete. HE died for all sin.
This is not a license to sin; this is victory over sin and death. You have the righteousness of Christ in you. You are in Christ Jesus sitting at the right hand of God the father. Your righteousness is in Christ.
You have moved from the prison of being a sinner into the righteousness of Christ Jesus. Your identity is in Christ Jesus completely forgiven and redeemed. You are no longer under condemnation but filled with the righteousness of Christ Jesus.
