Goliath

What is your Goliath?

What type of Goliath is screaming at you?

11 On hearing the Philistine’s (Giant Goliath) words, Saul and all the Israelites were dismayed and terrified.
24 When the Israelites saw the man, they all ran from him in great fear. 1 Samuel 17:11,24

Satan’s purpose is to kill and destroy. Satan is a liar, thief and murderer. If he can get you to operate in fear, lack and defeat, he wins. Saul and all the Israelites were dismayed and terrified. In God’s Kingdom, there is no fear. God did not give HIS CHILDREN a spirit of fear but of Power, Love and a Sound Mind.

What is your Goliath?

Is it a Goliath of debt with the creditors shouting words of defiance against you? Is it a mistake, problem, person at work or unemployment which is screaming words of defiance against you? Here are some of Goliath’s words of defiance which can cause you to become fearful and focused on Goliath, the problem, versus GOD. The demonic voice of Goliath tells you, “You are worthless, you should not have made that decision, you can do better, you are not good enough, you are not smart enough, dwell on your past mistakes, you are not able to do this project, you are not good enough, you are a loser, you cannot stop that addiction, you will never change, you are not capable, you are not really a Christian, look at your behavior, look at your anger and bitterness, if you are truly forgiven and a Child of God you would not continue to sin, Jesus really cannot heal the sick, forgive sin, restore the broken, reconcile relationships, give strength to the weak, give living water to the thirsty, give you food which will last forever, bring you comfort, peace, power and strength, bring you light in darkness.”

These are the deceptive words of Satan (Goliath).

In the Kingdom of God there is no hurt, fear, guilt, shame or regret. God has redeemed you from the curse of this world. As a born-again child of the King of Kings your identity is not in your past or what you do. You are given a new identity which is in the righteousness, forgiveness and DNA of Christ Jesus. The enemy of God shouts at you like Goliath did to the Israelites. Your position is at the dinner table of the King; you are favored, loved, redeemed and forgiven. HE sees you as spotless. There is no fear, shame or guilt wearing the Robe of Righteous sitting at the table with your Father. You are the dearly loved Child of your Heavenly Father. Enjoy your dinner. There is no reason to be afraid; you are totally accepted, redeemed, healed and restored in Christ Jesus.
