Gracious Hand of God and Favor

God’s gracious hand was on Nehemiah’s life. Nehemiah had a dream and vision yet he was a lowly kitchen helper. God’s favor was with him when he asked the King for all the resources to rebuild the walls around the Temple because the people where unprotected.

I (Nehemiah) also told them about the gracious hand of my God upon me and what the king had said to me. They replied, “Let us start rebuilding.” So they began this good work. Nehemiah 2:18

The gracious hand of God was on Ezra. He had begun his journey from Babylon on the first day of the first month, and he arrived in Jerusalem on the first day of the fifth month, for the gracious hand of his God was on him. Ezra 7:9 Ezra also found favor with the King.

Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD. Genesis 6:8

Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant. Potiphar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything he owned. Genesis 39:4

The gracious hand of God was on Ruth. Ruth did not deserve God’s favor because she was a Moabite, an enemy of the people of God, a people cursed by God. At this, she bowed down with her face to the ground. She exclaimed, “Why have I found such favor in your eyes that you notice me–a foreigner?” Ruth 2:10

God’s gracious hand of favor, redemption, restoration, reconciliation, and forgiveness is upon you. You are a dearly loved child of the King. When you seek HIM with all of your heart you will find HIM, and the resources and favor of the King will be revealed to you in a way you cannot explain.

God’s favor is waiting for HIS children to receive. HIS favor is unleashed in thankfulness and praise. HIS favor is unleashed through an attitude of gratitude in all circumstances. HIS joy is best received when going through trials to show you HIS comfort and strength.

Seek first God’s Kingdom and Righteousness so that the gracious hand of God will be on you. When you seek HIM with all of your heart, you will find HIM. HE will reveal HIMSELF to you. This is God’s promise and HIS word which HE does not break.
