HE Is Risen! How About You?

Always remember that Jesus Christ, a descendant of King David, was raised from the dead. This is the Good News I preach. 2 Timothy 2:8
What is the Good News you are preaching?
We remember many events – birthdays, anniversaries, 911, tragedies; however Paul is able to tell the Good News of the resurrection because he personally experienced his own resurrected life. Paul was dead in his own sin and rebellion against God. Then Paul went from death to life when he met the resurrected Jesus Christ on the road to Damascus.
Everything changes after you have met the resurrected Jesus Christ. The most important event to remember in your life will be your personal resurrection when you were transformed from death to life by the power of Christ’s resurrection.
Paul also writes in Philippians, I want to know Christ – yes, to know the power of his resurrection.
This same heavenly power which raised Jesus from the dead is in the born-again follower of Jesus Christ. The resurrection power dwells in you by the Holy Spirit living in you as a redeemed, reconciled, victorious follower of Jesus Christ as Lord, Master, King and Savior. You have laid down your power and might to receive your proper inheritance in the Kingdom of God. You have died on your personal cross of self-righteousness, selfishness, pride and self-desire to receive victory and power over sin, death and the devil.
Because of Jesus Christ’s power living in you through the Holy Spirit, you can proclaim, teach, preach, speak and live the Good News of the resurrection.
HE has risen and so have you. HE has given you power over the devil, sin and death. You have been raised from dead to alive in Christ Jesus. You have received a new heavenly birth called the born-again life.
What was dead is now alive.
