I am private about my relationship with God

I am private about my relationship with God

“The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Romans 10:8-10

What are you confessing?

When the Holy Spirit comes into your life, you want to tell everyone, “Jesus is Lord.” Your desire is to let people know fear is gone and has been replaced with love, joy, peace and faith. We are born into fear and death because of the fall in the Garden of Eden. We are born into sin. When you become born of the Spirit of God, fear is replaced with faith and a new life enters into you. The old life and desires have passed away and a new life begins growing in the love and faith of Jesus Christ as Lord.

Confessing to, speaking of, and witnessing the change from old to new life, from fear to faith, from hate to love, from anger to peace, from unforgiving to forgiving, from complaining to gratefulness become the mark of God’s Spirit in you. The fear of the wrath of God is gone. You can now stand before the Judgment throne acknowledging what Jesus Christ has done in your life. You do not stand before the Judgment throne based upon your own righteousness but on what Christ did on the cross for everyone including you.

It is a lie from the author of lies to think your relationship with God is a private matter. If you have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ, if you have received the gift of the Holy Spirit in your life, if you have received the forgiveness of sin, if you have been saved from the wrath of God, you are a witness and must tell others about what has happened in your life. The desire for the Word of God will grow and a thirst and hunger for God will develop.

Your confession that you are a sinner and that you are not righteous will be a testament to God’s love and mercy. Go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is Lord. Your testimony and changed life are unique. Your wilderness experiences are unique. Share, confess and witness how God has delivered you from the darkness to the light. There is healing in the confession of your sin. God’s Word does not return void. Speak with your mouth and profess today that Jesus Christ is Lord. No matter the circumstance in the hospital, in prison, in our office, in the conference room, in your kitchen, in the court room, profess Jesus is Lord. Acknowledge you are a sinner, confess you are not righteous and witness the Love of God – that he sent HIS only Son as a sacrifice for ALL.
