Kingdom Living Is A Living Sacrifice

Kingdom Living Is A Living Sacrifice

Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12: 1-2

Laying your life on the altar as a living sacrifice is the purpose of Christian living. Death to self, selfish ambition, pride, arrogance, lust, self-recognition, greed, power, and control is the sacrifice that delights God.

Does a dead person have worry?
Does a dead person have fear?
Does a dead person get offended?
Does a dead person blame?
Does a dead person complain?
Does a dead person have pride and arrogance?
Does a dead person continue to sin?

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may be revealed in our mortal body. So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you. 2 Corinthians 4:7-12

Here is Paul’s testimony of his death to self: I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live (death to self), but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20

Do you need to die to something today? Nail yourself to the cross. Die to that desire that has become an idol of worship. Put yourself on the altar of God. Allow HIM to transform you any way HE wants. Allow the blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross to remind you of HIS death so you can also be alive in Christ Jesus. You must die (to self) before you can be born again (in the Spirit of God). Live today as a dead person who is alive in Christ. As a dead person you cannot be offended. When you are squeezed today let love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, faithfulness and forgiveness flow from the Holy Spirit living in you.
Kingdom Living is dying to self and allowing the victorious Love of Christ to rule and reign in you.
