Lord save me from being comfortable

Lord save me from being comfortable

There are two kinds of people in the world: the lost and the found. Jesus is extremely interested in the lost.

Then Jesus told them this parable: “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents (is found) than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent (be found).” Luke 15:3-7

Are you actively looking for lost sheep?

Lord, forgive me for being comfortable and lazy. My desire has been to be around believers (the found) more than the lost.

Are you willing to give up your comfort to go after the lost? Do you have a heart for the lost? Are you compassionate towards the lost? Are you offended by being around the lost? Are you threatened by the lost? How much time are you spending with the lost?

The lost don’t even know they are lost. Are you striving to be the best in the world’s system, which Satan established since the fall of man? Do you strive for acceptance, fulfillment and accomplishment yet are empty without God? Lost people cannot articulate they are lost because they don’t see themselves as lost. They want to convince you of the false fulfillment of the world’s system.

Jesus came to seek and save the lost. He rejoices over one lost sheep being found. He rejoices over one person who repents of his sin. Are you the lost sheep that has been found? Jesus wants to put you on HIS shoulders and carry you into HIS everlasting care. HE wants you to come home. There will be celebration and rejoicing when one sheep is found.

Rest today in the mighty arms of the Good Shepherd as HE carries you on HIS shoulders. On HIS shoulders is the path of righteousness and hope. Thank you Dear Lord, for rescuing me from this world of sin, selfish desire and self-righteousness. You have been looking for me and now I am seeking YOU and want to rest on YOUR shoulders. I have been found. I want to go find other lost sheep.
