Miracles and Divine Healing Can Be Offensive

After Jesus had healed a demon-possessed man, the people were fearful. They asked Jesus to leave their region.

When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.  Those who had seen it told the people what had happened to the demon-possessed man-and told about the pigs as well. Then the people began to plead with Jesus to leave their region. Mark 5:15-16

The people laughed at the supernatural powers of Jesus.
When they came to the home of the synagogue ruler, Jesus saw a commotion, with people crying and wailing loudly. He went in and said to them, “Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep.” But they laughed at him. Mark 5:38-40
Jesus is accused of receiving HIS divine power from the prince of demons.
While they were going out, a man who was demon-possessed and could not talk was brought to Jesus. And when the demon was driven out, the man who had been mute spoke. The crowd was amazed and said, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel.”
But the Pharisees said, “It is by the prince of demons that he drives out demons.” Matthew 9:32-34
Jesus was filled with divine power and wisdom which was offensive to many.
When Jesus had finished these parables, he moved on from there. Coming to his hometown, he began teaching the people in their synagogue, and they were amazed. “Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?” they asked.  “Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother’s name Mary, and aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas? Aren’t all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?” And they took offense at him. Matthew 13:53-57
Your walk with the Lord may be offensive to people around you. Be comforted that greater is HE who is in you than the temporal-adversarial world that laughs at the divine healing, deliverance, restoration, redemption, new creation and the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. The New Creation of your life is in Christ Jesus finished work on the cross. This is foolishness to the carnal mind that cannot see with Spiritual Eternal eyes. Keep sharing the purpose of the Cross which is 2 Corinthians 5:21 you have been restored, redeemed to stand in the presence of God because of Jesus Christ. You have been washed clean of all sin, past, present and future. You are made Righteous in Christ Jesus.
He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21NASB
