Molehill

Zechariah 4: 7 For who are you, O great mountain [of human obstacles]? Before Zerubbabel [who with Joshua had led the return of the exiles from Babylon and was undertaking the rebuilding of the temple, before him] you shall become a plain [a mere molehill]! And he shall bring forth the finishing gable stone [of the new temple] with loud shoutings of the people, crying, Grace, grace to it!
When you speak to your mountain (problem, circumstance, finances, marriage, health, broken relationship, unemployment, obstacle) in the grace of God, it will become a molehill. There is no obstacle too big for God’s grace. Do you have a mountain in your life which looks permanent and unchangeable? God can make it a molehill. No power can stand against Almighty God.
The enemy of God is the great mountain, dead set against your building of the temple. The mountain represents Satan’s attempt to defeat you. The mountain represents all obstacles the enemy will use against you. He is a liar and wants to destroy you. He wants you to doubt God. The enemy does not want you to rebuild the temple of God.
22 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23 “I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11:22-24
When you speak to your mountain of lack, mountain of despair, mountain of discouragement, or mountain of fear, like Jesus commanded the mountain, it will be cast into the sea.
  • Let there be light where there is darkness.
  • Let there be hope where there is despair.
  • Let there be abundance where there is lack.
  • Let there be health where there is sickness.
  • Let there be peace where there is strife.
  • Let there be love where there is unforgiveness.
Greater are You who is in me than this obstacle. Lord I command your light, hope, peace, and abundance to make this mountain, in the name of Jesus, a molehill.
