Paul’s Life – Mission and Purpose Statement

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me-the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace. Acts 20:24

Have you ever witnessed something you wanted to tell others about? Maybe it was the miracle of birth of your son or daughter. Or the first time your child said mommy or daddy. The first steps your child took. Maybe it was the first time you got a hole-in-one in golf. Maybe it was the first time you learned to ski. Maybe it was the first sale you made in business.

What did you witness?

How do you express what you experienced and what happened?

How do you communicate this experience to profess the truth of the situation?

Paul’s life mission was to witness what he saw and experienced by God’s grace. He was willing to lay down his entire life as a living sacrifice; he realized his life was nothing compared to what Christ had done on the cross for him.

He was beaten, mocked, criticized, imprisoned, stoned and left for dead. He was the target of abusive language and hate. He was a threat to the system of this world (man’s economic system). He witnessed and testified to the gospel of God’s grace. He laid it all on the line. He gave his all. He was not afraid of the consequences of man. He feared God not man. He spoke boldly about what he had witnessed.

How are you doing being a witness in the marketplace, in your home, in your community? The only gospel of God’s grace the marketplace, home and community will witness may be you. How are you doing in being bold and allowing the power of the Holy Spirit to work through you?

What is the race and goal the Lord Jesus has given you? Today seek first the Kingdom of God and HIS righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.

What is your life mission and purpose? Consider today adopting Acts 20:24 as your life mission and purpose: “However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me-the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace.”

May your life be a living testimony of God’s grace, love, peace, gentleness, and forgiveness today as you work, transact business, consume, eat and interact with others.
