Scale

God does not have a sin scale.  God does not have a sin Richter scale. He forgives everything.
If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives. 1 John 1:8-10
There is no scale for sin. The enemy is a liar. He wants you to carry your own sin scale in your thoughts and minds. You are the one who carries the sin scale, not God. Your scale measures your sins and compares them with others. Part of your scale helps you determine if anyone knows about your sin. You hide the fear, failure, anger, hurt, rejection and disappointment inside, thinking others cannot see your pain. Yet the sin is still there. Your sense of failure can cause sin to enter through your thoughts and mind. Once that door opens then shame can be close by, also seeking to enter. Because of your failure, you have disappointed yourself, family, parents, children, spouse, boss or co-workers. Watch out – sin is creeping at the door to your mind and heart with these thoughts.
Remember there is no sin scale.
King Saul believed that David was a threat to his kingdom so he spent much of his life trying to kill David. The governmental rulers and religious were threatened by Jesus so they crucified him. What you think to be true will be the product of your actions. Imagine if King Saul thought David was a great leader and asked for David’s help!
Rejection of God’s free gift of forgiveness and freedom is like the Pharaoh of Egypt not allowing the Israelites to go free. Your freedom comes with the acceptance of God’s gift of total forgiveness which comes through HIS son Jesus Christ.
There are consequences of sin. We hurt people, business associates, friends and family members in our stubborn rebellious disobedience to God. God’s gift to you is that there is no failure scale or shame scale. He offers full redemption of all your anger, bitterness, failure, shame, fear and guilt in exchange for freedom in HIM.
There is no sin scale, only full redemption and forgiveness of sin. Walk in the freedom that you are not a slave to sin any longer. Jesus Christ set you free from the slavery of sin. You are a beloved child of God whose sins have been redeemed and forgiven by the blood of Jesus Christ. Your desire to sin has decreased and your desire to serve your Savior has increased. Your desire is to know the one who saved you.
