Secret to Youthful Life

The secret to a youthful life is found in Caleb. The Lord says, “My servant Caleb has a different spirit and has followed ME fully.
Caleb followed the Lord Fully.
In Joshua 14 we read that Caleb’s strength at 85 years old is as it was when he was 40. Then Caleb says in verse 11, “As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.”
Then the Lord says in verse 22-24: “Surely all the men who have seen My glory and My [miraculous] signs which I performed in Egypt and in the wilderness, yet have put Me to the test these ten times and have not listened to My voice will by no means see the land which I swore to [give to] their fathers; nor will any who treated me disrespectfully and rejected Me see it.  But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land into which he entered, and his descendants shall take possession of it.”
Caleb has a different spirit because he followed the Lord Fully. He trusted the Lord. He knew the Lord’s love for him. He saw God as a good God to be followed and worshiped. This brought him strength and youthfulness.
Caleb’s spirit was different because he followed while others did not trust God. They complained, blamed and walked in fear not believing God to bring them into HIS Promised Land so that a generation died in the wilderness. A full generation of Israelites, approximately 2.5 million, witnessed God’s 10 miracles plus the parting of the Red Sea yet did not trust God to enter into HIS PROMISED REST. They died not receiving ALL that God had for them. Only Joshua and Caleb entered into the Promised Land.
Caleb’s strength for a youthful life came from fully trusting in the Lord. When you grasp the Love God has for you and know and believe you are God’s FAVORITE CHILD, that HE loves each of HIS CHILDREN uniquely, then rest will come and the desire to fully follow becomes natural.
Here is the definition of love which will get rid of fear, condemnation and allow you to trust the Lord fully:
10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation [that is, the atoning sacrifice, and the satisfying offering] for our sins [fulfilling God’s requirement for justice against sin and placating His wrath].
18 There is no fear in love [dread does not exist]. But perfect (complete, full-grown) love drives out fear, because fear involves [the expectation of divine] punishment, so the one who is afraid [of God’s judgment] is not perfected in love [has not grown into a sufficient understanding of God’s love]. 19 We love, because He first loved us. 1 John 4;10-19
Receive all of God’s love. Youthfulness will be restored like the wings of eagles and you will unconsciously desire to fully follow the Lord. Jesus says, “Follow me.”
