Source or Resource

“Helping People Fulfill God’s Plan For Their Lives Through Business”

Source or Resource?

Are you worshiping the resource or the source?

Do you truly believe God is your source?

The Israelites had just experienced the great Passover in which their first born was saved. They experienced miracle after miracle of God working and freeing them of slavery. As they were backed up to the Red Sea with the Egyptian army advancing toward them, they saw the Red Sea open up as a passage to safety then close up and kill their enemy. After all that, in the desert the Israelites began to grumble and complain about not having food.

Then the Lord said to Moses, “I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way I will test them and see whether they will follow my instructions. On the sixth day they are to prepare what they bring in, and that is to be twice as much as they gather on the other days.” Exodus 16:4-5

The Israelites were focused on the resource – food, not the source – God. Are you focusing on the resource of cash flow? Are you grumbling about your circumstance? God is more concerned about your attitude toward your circumstance than the circumstance itself. As with the Israelites, God wants to test whether you will follow HIS instructions.

God, the Source, rained down bread from heaven for the Israelites. You will not know how God will deliver you from your circumstance. Will you trust in the resource or the Source – HOLY GOD the creator of heaven and earth?

God loves you and wants you to trust HIM with ALL of your cares. Put your rest and trust in the Source, not the resource. Your resource is not your Source for salvation, the forgiveness of sin, life, redemption, and peace.

You cannot serve two masters. The power of possessions and mammon want you to believe they are your source. This is a big lie. God is your only TRUE SOURCE for life. Jesus Christ came to give you life more abundantly.

Work and walk today in the confidence of God’s promises to you. Work and walk by faith trusting in the Source, Holy God, for your provision.
