Stumbling block and foolishness

Stumbling block and foolishness

Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 1Corinthians 1:22-24
You are the product of your choices.
You have a choice of anger or acceptance.
You have a choice to be bitter or forgive.
You have a choice to self-promote or promote the Kingdom of God.
You have a choice of self-pity over the past or to put the past behind you.
You can live in compromise or obedience to God.
You have a choice to believe or not believe the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
You have a choice to believe or not believe that Jesus arose from the grave.
For the Jews, the resurrection and crucifixion was a stumbling block. If you had crucified Jesus as a Jewish leader, it would be hard to change your thoughts to become a follower of Christ. The resurrection seemed foolish to the Gentiles. Those who are living by sight only, have difficulty seeing with spiritual eyes. The things of God are hidden to those who do not want to see.
Your choices will ultimately determine your destination. You can choose bitterness, anger, self-promotion, pity, compromise and disbelief. Or you can choose forgiveness, the Kingdom of God, to put the past behind you, obedience to God and believe that HE offers the forgiveness of sin to those who earnestly seek HIM.
Jesus Christ offers you the opportunity to have eternal life and fellowship with God forever. There are those who want to call salvation foolishness and the crucifixion a stumbling block. There are those who do not seek to have their sins forgiven and live in the freedom.
What choices are you making to further the Kingdom of God? Seek the Kingdom of God today and HIS righteousness. God calls it obedience and blesses HIS children’s faithfulness.
