What are you teaching? You are teaching something by your life. Everything you do and say is a lesson in life to others you influence.
The priests and the captain of the temple guard and the Sadducees came up to Peter and John while they were speaking to the people. They were greatly disturbed because the apostles were teaching the people and proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection of the dead. They seized Peter and John, and because it was evening, they put them in jail until the next day. But many who heard the message (Word of God) believed and the number of men grew to about five thousand. Acts 4:1-4
Peter and John had witnessed Jesus alive after the crucifixion. Jesus is alive. Death did not keep HIM in the grave. The religious kingdom of law and self effort was threatened by the teaching of Peter and John. The religious leaders were greatly disturbed because Peter and John were teaching about Jesus’ resurrection from the dead.
Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John replied, “Judge for yourselves whether it is right in God’s sight to obey you rather than God. For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.” Acts 4:18-20
When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. But since they could see the man who had been healed standing there with them, there was nothing they could say. Acts 4:13-14
Speak, teach and live the word of God and get yourself out of the way! Allow the word of God to do the work.
Others will see your courage, boldness and passion and note that you have been with Jesus. When you know you have been forgiven, delivered, redeemed, healed and resurrected in a new born again life, you cannot stop talking about the risen Jesus Christ. You have been with Jesus. Go teach that Jesus is alive today.
