Walking in God’s footprints

Look for God’s footprints. Are you even looking for HIM or are you so busy in your agenda that you miss HIM entirely? Is it possible you go an entire day and not seek God’s guidance and instruction?

Find out where God is working and join him. Where is God working? Are you willing to join HIM? In whose footprints are you walking? Are you making your own footprints and depending on your self-reliance? Do you say to yourself (or someone else), “I am a self-made person” or “I know where I am going” or “I know how to get there?” Your self-reliance and pride may be holding you back from God’s best. God provided for the Israelites in the desert. However, HE wanted them to move into the Promised Land.

Are you looking for God’s footprints? Where is HE going? Where is HE directing you?

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge HIM, and HE will make your paths (HIS footprints) straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

The enemy wants to keep you busy seeking things that are good but not God’s best. Walking by faith in HIS footsteps totally trusting the Holy Spirit living in you for your direction will always be your best. When you seek HIM you will find HIM when you seek HIM with all of your heart. The enemy wants you to have your eyes open but not see God’s footprints. He wants you to be able to hear but at the same time listen to God’s Word speaking into your life.

Assume you have a problem or circumstance that is consuming your thinking and mind. Would you be willing to spend an hour of time seeking the Lord in HIS Word to get guidance and direction? Or would you just step out and seek to lean on your own understanding, experiences and perception of truth to make a decision?

Here is what Nehemiah did when he was faced with overwhelming circumstances:

When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven. Nehemiah 1:4

As you walk today open your Spiritual eyes and Spiritual ears to see and hear the Holy Spirit, find out where HE is walking and join HIM. You will not always know the direction in which HE is leading you. You can trust the Holy Spirit totally and know that where HE is taking you is God’s best for you.
