What Do You Have In Your Mind?

But when Jesus turned and looked at his disciples, he rebuked Peter. “Get behind me, Satan!” he said. “You do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.” Mark 8:33

The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians 2:14

The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. John 14:17

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18

For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength. 1 Corinthians 1:25

You are born spiritually blind because of sin. You are born spiritually deaf because of sin. You are born spiritually diseased with sin. You are born lame by your selfish sinful mind and desires. Jesus Christ came to give Spiritual sight to the blind. HE came to bring hearing the Word of God to the deaf. HE came to bring healing and restoration to the broken-hearted and sick. HE came to bring the Kingdom of God and the mind of God to the lame.

Jesus came to establish the Kingdom of God through his born-again children of God. God’s Kingdom is everlasting, not temporal as is man’s. God is the creator of the heavens and earth. Man is not creator. Man is the steward over God’s creation. Man looks for a natural, physical, tangible ruler and king. God is Spirit and must be seen, heard and worshiped in the Spirit. God loved the world so much HE sent HIMSELF as a sacrifice in Jesus Christ, yet man rejected HIM.

What do you have in your mind – the things of man or the things of God?
Are you thinking like God or like man? Have you been healed or are you still blind and deaf to the Kingdom of God and the Word of God?

Jesus said, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.” It is hard to think like God when we are trusting in our possessions.
