When did fear enter you?
When did fear enter you?
On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me: LIFE! Yet what is in me is fear. When did fear enter your life?
Fear entered into you and all of us at the fall in the Garden of Eden. Sin entered into the world. You were born into sin, fear and death.
“Fear not” was a common phrase Jesus would tell his followers. Your fear was planted in you by your forefathers from generations past. This seed grows in you. It gets watered and fertilized regularly until the truth of God enters and chops down the fear. Jesus had overcome the world. There is no fear in love. Perfect love casts out fear.
There is a tendency to prioritize sin; in our mind we rank sins of the flesh (murder, rape, adultery and stealing) as worse than sins of the Spirit (rebellion against God, anger, fear, envy, greed, selfishness and unforgiveness).
Fear and anxiety are sins of the Spirit; they are rooted in a lack of trust in the provision of Holy God. Do you really trust God for everything? Everything? Everything! Will you trust HIM with your children, your spouse, your parents, your work, your career, your problem, your health, your rejection, your reputation? Will you trust HIM with ALL? Seek first the Kingdom of God and HIS Righteousness and ALL these things shall be given or added unto you.
Fear when fully grown in your life becomes so familiar as a way of life it seems normal. It is also shown in generational behavior passed down. It is easy to worship fear versus trusting God. The enemy attacks your thinking and mind and wants you to remain in fear. The enemy wants you to live a defeated life. The enemy does not want you to have victory over fear, death and sin. The enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy. The enemy tries to wipe out your peace and joy. Jesus came to give you life and power over fear, sin and death.
The Spirit of God gives life, peace, power, love and a sound mind. God did not give you a spirit of fear. The mind controlled by fear leads to death but the mind controlled by the Spirit of God leads to life and peace in Christ Jesus. The peace which God gives is a peace which the world does not understand. It transcends all understanding. The life which God gives you in Christ Jesus transcends all understanding and is eternal. If you are experiencing fear and anxiety it is because you are focused on the problem or circumstance versus the solution which brings peace and life.
Seek God today with all of your heart, mind, soul and strength. Worship HIM and bow down to HIM versus your problem or circumstance. Jesus came to give you life and this life is ABUNDANT.
