Can you look at your trial, test or circumstance as a gift from God? Are you aware God becomes stronger in your life in your weakness? Are you aware HIS power works best in your weakness?
Because of the extravagance of those revelations, and so I wouldn’t get a big head, I was given the gift of a handicap to keep me in constant touch with my limitations. Satan’s angel did his best to get me down; what he in fact did was push me to my knees. No danger then of walking around high and mighty! At first I didn’t think of it as a gift, and begged God to remove it. Three times I did that, and then he told me,
My grace is enough; it’s all you need.
My strength comes into its own in your weakness.
Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christ’s strength moving in on my weakness. Now I take limitations in stride, and with good cheer, these limitations that cut me down to size-abuse, accidents, opposition, bad breaks. I just let Christ take over! And so the weaker I get, the stronger I become. (Message 2 Corinthians 12: 7-10)
“My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” Your circumstance and your problems can crush you without the grace of God. HIS grace is the capacity to do anything spiritually possible in you. HIS grace allows you to persevere, have courage, comfort and rest through the storm or difficulty. Jesus is the grace. HIS grace is all you need. HIS grace is sufficient. HIS grace is not dispensed as Santa Claus. HIS grace comes in your weakness, trial and brokenness.
HIS grace allows a mother to sing in public following the death of her infant child. HIS grace is sufficient to allow a wife to share her testimony of pain and suffering publicly and how she forgave her unfaithful husband. God’s grace is experienced fully and perfected in your weakness.
God has the hammer and chisel. HE is conforming you to HIS likeness. There are edges which need to be rounded and even removed. Don’t fight the pain; learn to rejoice, embrace and count your blessings. Know that God is working good to all those who love HIM and are called according to HIS PURPOSE. God loves you so much HE has given you the gift of salvation and righteousness so that you can draw closer to HIM. Allow the gift to fully work in you. All your sins where forgiven past, present and future in Christ Jesus.
