Which came first – God’s love for you or your love for God?

Do you comprehend the depth of God’s love? Do you realize HE forgave your sin before you asked for forgiveness?

Can you grasp how much God loves you and all mankind?

Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! Romans 5:7-9

All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions-it is by grace you have been saved. Ephesians 2:3-5

I pray that out of his glorious riches HE may strengthen you with power through HIS Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:16-19

This is love: not that we loved God, but that HE loved us and sent HIS Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. 1 John 4:10-12

Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. Ephesians 5:1

For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. John 3:16 AMP

God loved you and the world and all mankind so much, HE sent HIMSELF in the form of flesh and spirit in Christ Jesus so that you can believe and trust in the love of God.

Meditate on God’s love for you. Chew this as food for today. Continually bring to remembrance during the day HIS sacrifice of LOVE on the cross to redeem you from the curse. HE has made you righteous by washing you with HIS BLOOD.
