Who is sitting on the mountain of commerce?

Is God or the enemy of God sitting on the mountain of Commerce?

Do you serve money or does money serve you?

Do you bow down to money? Do you worship money?

Psalm 24:3-5

3 Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place?

4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false.

5 He will receive blessing from the LORD and vindication from God his savior.

Money is a false idol.

Money is a false god (idol) that wants to be worshiped. Money is a false god that wants you to think you can have satisfaction but it comes without contentment. Money is a false god that gives you false hope which ends in death. Money is a false god that gives you power and leaves you empty in the end. Money is a false god that gives you pleasure without joy.

Satan is a liar and a thief. He came to steal and destroy. He is sitting on the mountain of commerce. His trade is dishonesty. As long as you believe money will satisfy you more than God, he is not threatened. As long as you serve money, Satan remains on top of his mountain.

You can serve money or have money serve you. When you allow money to serve you for God’s purpose in your life, the power over money is broken. Your thoughts change from money to God providing his good, pleasing and perfect will in your life.

The world wants to measure your success by money. God measures your success by faithfulness, and with it HE gives you greater responsibility in the Kingdom of God to love others as HE loved you and died for all of our sins.

Jesus said you cannot serve two masters; you will hate one and love the other. You cannot serve both money and God. When you love money it is hard to love God and others. The first and greatest commandment is to Love God with all of your heart, mind, soul and strength. When you love God and others as Christ loved you and gave HIMSELF as a sacrifice for you, you will not love money.

Go and trade bringing honor and glory to God in your business. You are an ordained business person. Your business is your ministry. Your workplace is your ministry. Your work is your worship. God is on top of HIS HOLY MOUNTAIN. You can ascend HIS hill by trading with clean hands and a pure heart and not lifting up your soul to the idol of money.
