Who Is Your Teacher?

Who Is Your Teacher?

Are you dependent on man to teach you or the Spirit of God?

27 But as for you, the anointing (the sacred appointment, the unction) which you received from Him abides [permanently] in you; [so] then you have no need that anyone should instruct you. But just as His anointing teaches you concerning everything and is true and is no falsehood, so you must abide in (live in, never depart from) Him [being rooted in Him, knit to Him], just as [His anointing] has taught you [to do]. 1 John 2:27 AMP

As a born-again believer you’ve received the anointing Baptism of the Holy Spirit which abides in you and instructs you. Christ Jesus abides in you through the Holy Spirit. HE resides in you and you in HIM. You are made up of Spirit, Soul and Body. HIS SPIRIT in you is totally Righteous, Holy and Perfect. This is Christ in you, the hope of Glory, taking up residence in your body.

HIS Spirit is everything you need for teaching you the truth. Paul in Galatians gives testimony to this same way to learn. Who is going to teach you – the world or the Spirit of God?

11 For I want you to know, brethren, that the Gospel which was proclaimed and made known by me is not man’s gospel [a human invention, according to or patterned after any human standard].

12 For indeed I did not receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but [it came to me] through a [direct] revelation [given] by Jesus Christ (the Messiah). Galatians 1:11-12 AMP

What you listen to will teach and guide you. Are you listening to the teaching of this world or the teaching of the Holy Spirit living in you? Who is going to teach you? The world is going to teach you to trust your cravings, emotions, feelings and physical appetite, not the Spirit of God.

15 Do not love or cherish the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world-the lust of the flesh [craving for sensual gratification] and the lust of the eyes [greedy longings of the mind] and the pride of life [assurance in one’s own resources or in the stability of earthly things]-these do not come from the Father but are from the world [itself]. 1 John 2:15-16
